Small Group Life

Then Jesus came to them and said,
“All authority in heaven and on
earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them
to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age.”

(Matthew 28:18-20 niv)

Building Community is vital to the growth of Countryside Christian Church. Countryside utilizes small groups to support one another as we grow in our relationships with God and each other. (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:25)

We believe small groups are Jesus' model for discipleship to:
  • Develop meaningful relationships.
  • Grow in faith and the personal application of God's word.
  • Shepherd people and minister to their needs.
  • Hold each other accountable to the work and grace of God in our lives.
Jesus modeled the effectiveness of a small group when He met regularly with the twelve disciples. They can be an essential part of healthy Christian growth. We believe people can best be brought to wholeness and maturity through an atmosphere of honest and open relationships. By meeting together weekly with those in our small group, we are laying the foundation for this to happen in our lives.
